Another project featured in home tour
The Los Altos Community Foundation (LACF) and the Los Altos Neutra House Project committee celebrated the official grand opening of the recently renovated Los Altos Neutra House with "L.A. Modern," a one-day tour showcasing contemporary modern homes located in Los Altos, California.

The tour featured five contemporary modern homes that reflect the branch of Modernist architecture known as "California Modern." This architecture typically features glass walls, post-and-beam construction and open floor plans in a style indebted to Richard Neutra, Mies van der Rohe, Frank Lloyd Wright, and Joseph Eichler's many architects. The Los Altos homes on the tour highlight the integration of this architectural style with the many facets of the Bay Area lifestyle.

One of the homes on the tour was a project we completed in 2007. The house was designed by our esteemed associates and friends at Elevation Architects, and is owned by former clients we now call friends who graciously opened their home for this event.

Rich Mathers Construction congratulates the Steinhilbers, whose home was featured in the Seventh Annual Home & Garden Tour which benefits the Los Altos History Museum. The Steinhilber's 5,700+ square foot remodel was completed in 2007, and we're proud of our continued relationship with a family so involved in their community. They're also responsible for our involvement with the El Camino Hospital Foundation.
